Several species are to be found on the estate, including
woodcock, snipe, teal, widgeon, goose, pigeon, rabbit and hare, however the majority of the bag is made up of pheasant, partridge
and mallard.

Traditional Highland game shooting

Driven days at Rannas are still a traditional, yet friendly, affair.

Guns and their guests start the day with coffee and a briefing at Rannas House.
We generally stop for 'elevenses' after 2 or 3 drives and shoot through.
A private lunch is served around 4pm.

The Head Keeper and his team ensure everyone is well looked after
and enjoyable sport is had by all.

Shooting parties usually number 8-10 guns with expected bags of 150-250 birds.

We can tailor days to suit your requirements but generally
we shoot mixed days of testing pheasant, exciting partridge over gullies
and very high duck, driven from woodland ponds, bogs and streams.
